There’s nothing more frustrating than not being able to enjoy your yard once the weather gets nice enough because you’re overrun with pests like mosquitoes, fleas, spiders, and whatever else is crawling and flying around.
You’re afraid of going outside because you don’t want to be some walking buffet for the bugs, nor do you want to run the risk of catching some sort of disease. Fortunately, FMC Agricultural Products, which also makes herbicides, pesticides, and fungicides, has created an insecticide, Talstar Pro, that can help kill up to 75 different types of insects.
The specifications for this product are:
According to FMC, with this liquid insecticide concentrate, the entire capacity of the ¾ gallon insecticide concentrate will yield approximately 96 to 192 gallons of insecticide solution. The reason why the range is so varied is that the strength of the solution will differ depending on the type of insect you are trying to kill and how bad the infestation is.
Generally speaking for most applications you will want to use 0.30 ounces of the product per gallon of water for slight bug problems. If you want to use it indoors, increase it to 0.50 ounces per gallon of water. Really bad infestations may require a full ounce (or even a little more) per one gallon of water.
The active ingredient, bifenthrin, is poorly soluble in water and is known to stay in the soil, however, since the product only contains 7.9%, when it is diluted in water, it will be mild enough for use around children and pets.
You can use it in the yard to stop mosquitos from venturing too close to the area where you are relaxing or entertaining guests. You can spray the perimeter of your home and other structures to prevent ants, spiders, grasshoppers, crickets, and other crawling bugs from getting inside. Because the product is safe to use indoors, you can even use it to stop ants from taking over your kitchen and pantry.
It is recommended that you allow the solution to dry completely before it gets wet. When it does dry completely, the insecticide will be effective up to three months before it will need to be reapplied.
Of all the products on the market, homeowners rave about how effective the solution is. One customer on Amazon even went so far as to say that you would be wasting your money if you called a professional to take care of your bug problem instead of using this product. Those are some pretty amazing claims!
Some of the insects that the insecticide has been proven to kill, according to the Homeowners who used this product include black widow spiders, cockroaches, all species of mites, and, of course, ants, and crickets.
Upon further review, some consumers have said that the product didn’t work for them. Some users complained that they still had fleas, crickets, earwigs, lizards, and spiders (all from different reviewers) AFTER using Talstar Pro.
Realizing that you have an insect problem is not something any homeowner wants to admit, but it is something that you cannot ignore. With the Talstar Pro liquid insecticide concentrate, you have the ability to kill up to 75 different types of insects. Is the product worth buying?
We think so. With only 4% of customers saying the product didn’t work for them, we feel that it may be more of a user error than a problem with the product itself. So if you are having pest problems, we strongly recommend picking up a bottle
